First Impressions Team
First impressions are important, especially when it comes to church. The first impression team is a group of volunteers who help make sure that visitors to our church feel welcomed and comfortable. These friendly faces greet visitors as they come in, offer directions and assistance, and generally help to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In addition to making visitors feel welcome, the first impression team also serves as a valuable source of information about our church. They can answer questions about our programs and events, and provide visitors with an opportunity to learn more about our community.
By offering a welcoming presence and helping to connect visitors with the resources they need, the first impression team plays an important role in fostering a sense of belonging at our church.
Join the community of volunteers at our church
The First Impressions Team is an important part of making people feel welcome at our church for the first time. You will be in the foyer before and after services. This is a place for smiling faces to get people’s information, give them a gift, and help them get involved in all the great things God is doing at Impact Shepherdsville!
Once a month is preferable, but this can be adjusted.
This role is best for people who are friendly, like to meet new people, and want to help them connect with the church.
The ministry leader or someone else in this role will show you where to stand to greet, how to process First-Time Guests, and what information to give to people who want to connect. This will happen on or before your first Sunday.
There is no cost to you; just give your time and be kind.
This job is best for adults and older teens, but a team of a parent and a child can also work.
