There’s no doubt that technology has changed the way we worship. From hymns being played on a screen instead of in a hymnal to sermons being streamed online, churches have had to adapt to the times. If you have a passion for technology and audio/visual equipment, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to use your skills to serve God.Â
As a media volunteer, you would be responsible for running the sound system during church services, as well as operating the video camera and projector. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to use their talents to serve the Lord and help create an immersive worship experience for the community. If you’re interested in becoming a media volunteer, please contact our worship pastor for more information.
The Impact Media team is an important part of each week’s service. They work behind the scenes to improve the worship experience for those who are there, and they also use technology to help build God’s kingdom outside of the church walls. This team is for you if you have technical skills or want to learn about different parts of media.
Serve 1 or 2 times a month
If you have experience with media, that's great, but you don't need it (except for sound), because each position will be trained. The people on the team should be interested in technology, want to learn about media ministry, and serve well.
When training for this team, there are three steps. First, everyone watches to see how things work behind the scenes. Second, you'll learn by doing and follow an experienced team member around. Lastly, you'll be able to use the equipment with the help of another team member. Once you're used to it and have finished training, you'll be ready for lights, camera, action! (Some positions may require more extensive training.)
There is no cost to you; just give your time and expertise.
There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
