When you volunteer in the nursery, you’re not just helping to care for young children, you’re also supporting their parents and families. The parents can take worship and spend time learning the word knowing that their children are being cared for by someone they trust. They can enjoy their time together without worrying about their children.
In addition, volunteering in the nursery is a great way to get to know other parents and families at Impact, you’ll build relationships you may not have had before. And you may even find yourself making new friends. So if you’re looking for a way to get involved at Impact, consider volunteering in the nursery. It’s a great way to support families and meet new people.
Our Impact Minis team has the unique chance to shape and raise the church’s mini members in the love of Jesus. With different positions and calendar possibilities for helping, you will provide mom and dad the opportunity to worship and be ministered to in the sanctuary distraction-free, and you will make a lasting influence in the lives of these tiny, but mighty, hearts.
Serve in whatever capacity that you are able to! We have spots open once a month or once every three months, either on Sunday mornings or during our midweek service.
The most important thing is to want to help children learn more about the Bible and love Jesus. There's no need to have a background in teaching. Members of the team should be there 15 minutes before the service to get the kids.
The ministry leader or someone else in this role will show you where to stand to greet parents, what responsibilities you have, and how to leave the room after all mini's have been picked up. This will happen on or before your first Sunday.
There is no personal expense for serving with Impact Mini's - just your time and love!
Teachers have to be at least 18 years old and must pass a background check. Helpers must be at least 12 years old, but if their parent or guardian is also serving, there may be an exception.
